the film effect is amazing was it just expird polavesion film

^
Thanx again! It's not polavision, it's a movie in Super8 that i bleached and painted, the rest is done playing with the frame speed while projecting it

can anyone tell me where i can still get super8 film?

^
I'm afraid the only way i know is via internet. Polavision film only at Unsaleable, of course. But if you're looking for normal Super 8, the 2 mayor labs in Europe are Wittner Kinotechnik and Andec, i think both are german. In the USA tere more options, like Pro8 mm. And you can also buy directy at Kodak

I understand what you mean Uri...as I said it was just my own opinion (and my hangover) talking! I did appreciate the use of the projector sound as an adjunct to film speed and as a reminder of the analogue nature of the original.
btw, I forgot to tell you I'm using safari on a mac, and it all works fine!
:-)>

^
Oh, cobber, if you're here, it means i should be sleeping hours ago!

Thanx for your opinion, you know i always appreciate it

I love horses. I even love horses going backwards. As Bonnie pointed out to me, these movies are very reminiscent of dada movie artworks.
The only thing that bugged me after a while watching this Uri, was the projector noise, perhaps it was the fact that I still have a bit of a hangover from the department Christmas party...but I think I would prefer some music, ambient or otherwise, with maybe some foley work to add to the soundtrack. This is just my pesonal opinion.

^
I can't believe it, you talked about this with Bonnie? Now i feel important...

Thanx for giving me your opinion, Mr AP, and yes, it's true, the projector noise can be very irritating... I added it because of two things: first because it gave the film rhythm and emphasized the speed differences, and secondly, to keep the sense of performance with the projector, to make it clear that it was something taking place on a projector and nor on a edit program (although i later had to edit it digitally). It was meant to make distance between the video and the film, to express the non-equality between what's happening and what you're seeing. I tried to make it a "video recording of a film projection/performan ce" and not a "digitized film projection". Do you understand what i mean? It's hard for me to explain it

thanks for the info mister u.
but what do you mean with "the whole process"?? didn't you just smeared it with colour - et basta?

^
More or less, but the colors only get really fixed if you bleach it before, but not too much, or you'll end up without film to paint

2006-12-16 // 18:10:50
