So....was it someone from here who just paid more than 200 euros for a 4 pack of SX-70 Film on Ebay?. I thought I would get lucky at 150.00. Ah well.

Hi, afraid the Swinger 20 (20C was the B/W coaterless film type) used roll film that was discontinued in the 1970's (I think) and this type of film is not one that will be made again under the new agreements and production runs next year. They were made in their millions so many survive but not worth a great deal - still a nice camera though but unless you can find an old film roll on Ebay ( even then after 30 years unlikely to work) it is now destined to be just a display item - sorry. A few weeks ago I sold my 600SE on eBay, now i'm starting to regret it. After finally getting around to buying some film to try out the SX-70 my wife gave to me i miss the damn thing and the pictures it takes. I have a Mamiya Press Universal that i use of medium format stuff and i need the Polaroid back for it. If anyone knows where i can pick one up for not too much cash then let me know.

Dan...SX-70's from 'collectordetectorauctions' on ebay are sound, I have bought a few and all are perfect. The days of cheap SX-70 cameras are over, and their prices are fair given they are guaranteed to work. It is easy to change the skins too.
Cheers.

And did you see the hardcore stash of SX-70s?

When, where can we buy them?

Mine's shit and ebay's dangerous these days.

Ahh - just discovered they are for sale...

@Kay, not recently. The SLR 680 and 690 are great picture takers but known to be a crock of shit when it comes to reliability. The mirrors often work loose and fall off too. There were some people on the web who used to offer repairs and some good camera repair centres but the last quote I got was over £200 with no guarrentee they could fix it -so I sold it on Ebay - te he only joking , I converted it into a snazzy radio and gave it to me son. Hurrah VF
