@ frederic.
concerning loosetooth "claw-changing-idea"...sometimes people sell ( at least here at ebay germany) polaroid backs for the polaroid studio express passport-cameras. theses backs work also fine withe the 600 SE ( and are mostly sold a little bit cheaper..last one i bought was around 5 ) ..and one can unscrew the claws from them.

@ Frederic.....
That particular hood is not compatible with your 600se. Mamiya and Polaroid did not want to make the components of their systems be able to cross over.
With some pieces they were more successful than others. So the lenses are too hard to modify for one and another cameras.
The packs and back attachments are different. Compare the claws for one of your pack backs with the claws on that Focusing Hood. Yours will have a gap in the middle and the hoods are one solid claw. This is not the only difference. The claws are different shapes and thicknesses. That hood is only for the Mamiya Press/Universal/Super 23.
However all that holds in those claws are 4 screws and if you were to swap those claws for some Polaroid claws then it would fit.
Personally I would not bother unless you have the claws. The other two options are to buy the Polaroid clawed Mamiya 'M' adaptor. Then a range of Mamiya accessories will fit your 600se from focusing hoods to 6x9 film backs........ or just wait and buy a Polaroid clawed focusing hood - they come up regularly.
A useful Ebay shop is 'Camera.Japan' and ' ginotokojapanusa' these both source great accessories in Japan, they are pricey though.

Polanoid has always been where I express my Polaroid photography... I have never been into Flickr..... however mucking around today I was trying to get a picture of the original Edwin Land 185 (I saw one on Ebay once but did not grab the picture).... I stumbled across the 'Polaroid' groups buy and sell page..... where 3 days ago the groups moderator sold one of these beautiful Mamiya lensed machines for...... $1000...... $1000!!!! at todays exchange rate that is equivalent to a couple of loaves of bread and an apple!!!!!!!! Woe is me..... another one of the 30 has changed hands and my stupid brand loyalty has deprived me yet again........
If anyone does have an ORIGINAL (not that shite millenium copy) 185 and is feeling generous.... wink, wink.

clea
easy to buy Instax film wide on ebay, from HongKong sellers. Or on command at your local dealer but probably more expensive.

the ground-glass back is nearly unreadable during daytime. youŽll have to use a dark-cloth to rule out the surrounding light. ( at least, that is my experience.)
i think i have seen on ebay some light-meters, that fit onto the shoe of the flash...but i doŽnt remember the name of that things.

In US, in case of huge problem the banks can still reverse the charge and/or try to settle the incident or void the payment after investigation if buyer credit is good.
As loosetooth and Jay wrote on this newsfeed, its an "upper end price" »link but this Ebay seller is respected and prophet Ivan from Polanoid wrote on my guestbook that I will understand soon why it was worth to pay this price because " It is really one amazing and beautiful camera to work with it.." quoted Ivan :)
zveliakine I now know where & how to buy in Los Angeles an almost new motorcycle for %35 of its retail price. But honnestly a 600-SE I don't know how to buy it and I even don't know how to use it.
Cheers !
C'est la vie, on verra bien :)

@ Frederick.......
I do not think that you have made a huge mistake.... but you have paid the upper end of what you want to be paying...... thing is that prices vary considerably for the 600se.
People who do not know what they have let them go for a lot less..... where as people who are watched, like Vader, get a lot more than that. You have bought off of someone who sells a lot of high quality 600se equipment on Ebay.... so he is reputable (I think that I have had stuff off of Vader before) and the camera and lens and back up should be quite good.
I spent quite a lot of time waiting for bargains to come up.... and so that is what you have paid for, in essence... you do not have to wait, or scrabble around looking for deals.... in one hit you virtually have all the system (still the 150mm to go) and it is appears to be in as new condition.
Look I have seen them go for less and I have seen them go for more.... if you can afford it and you happily bid for it then do not let it stress you...... not much to be done now exceot enjoy your new camera :)))

I just bought a 600-SE on Ebay »link
I had no one to guide me in real time on this opportunity, almost ignorant as I am about this camera...so ! It's a lot of money but its seem to be complete and in perfect condition.
I was willing and ready to pay more
if qualitatively the camera appeared to be a "good deal".
I don't know maybe someone can tell me if I did something that might look like a hugessimistic mistake.
Any feedbacks welcome.
Humm humm actually a little stressed out :) by all this :)
