I have to give a shout out for Philip Jose Farmer - one of the great Polaroid photographers of all time.
I mean, I have to give big props to BUCKAROO BANZAI who amassed the world' largest Pola collection in 1987, when he traded in his transdimensional truck for Aleph Reingold's historic collection, gifted to him by none other then Dr. Land himself.
I really mean, I'm excited about the 192 Magic Cube flash bulbs on the way via eBay (Antoine, you need any?). The Big Shot is Polaroid's finest achievement.
I really really mean that I think I now believe more strongly in Fuji as the company that believes in and promotes instant film and cameras. LONG LIVE FUJI! FUCK PETERSON/POLAROID! Really, Polaroid is extinct and has been for years. Fuji is the only company that really cares about us, folks! I'm going to reserve www.fujinoid.net . . will call each of you individually when it is done.
Al ljokes, aside, a good game of Jack Straws is what the world needs right now.

I don't think so Six, evidently colors seems better but as for film after having use a long time Fuji in fashion with hasselblad back to test light, it was commonly becaming the product instead of Polaroid one, then since one or two year i'm using Polaroid pack film for saving money on great lot on eBay, then i discover that for example the 669 one is really the true color of what i see, not so saturated as the Fuji, and also not sot glossy, cause the Fuji is so glssy that in the scanner, the black zone are rended quite as "miror" et i found very difficult to approach the real tone.

I wouldn't mind having two SX-70's! Or three. Or four. But alas, I never manage to catch cheap ones on eBay.

There is one pack of 108 on eBay at BuyitNow price of $5 if anyone wants to chance it. . .expiry date of 1980. . . odds are low, but one could break ColorBlindArtist's record!
Me, I'm not that tempted. The only things that tempt me are moldy things in the icebox and women with filthy hygiene.

Went onto ebay and bought a couple of SX-70s' (it was 2 for one:P) - turns out the autofocus one is missing the focusing screen :( bollocks. But the nice man is sending me another with extras and letting me keep that one as spares. Result! :) Happy bunny.

Made some elder work "public" again, in my gallery.
Thanks for taking a look.
A POLAROID LOVE STORY
/// (...) = Read the missing parts in my Profile if interested. Thank you for your time. Feels very revealing so I might delete it, but it feels good to write it down right now.///
Beginning of October 2005 I started shooting my very first Polaroid.(...)
The next day I searched ebay for better prices and got to know andi from unsaleable.com, with whom I started mailing back and forth asking silly beginner questions. He was so nice and I was excited to realize the bureau was in Vienna and asking if I could get film there instead of letting the post send it he said "yes" and I think the day after I put my foot into their office the very first time.
To me, that day is one of the most important points of direction in my life, no matter how silly that sounds. It has changed me and my world completely. As an "artist" as well as an individual (...). Polaroids and 3 very kind, humorous and enthusiastic boys (literally) sitting in a tiny office stuffed with millions of boxes of film and cameras, that particular scent of old cameras and leather..the time they invested (still do) in their customers, lended cameras, gave away film to a freak-girl like me to test it etc..it was a mixture of alice in wonderland and paradise to me.
It felt like being welcomed into a family of passion, madness and love. What better combination could there be. I fell in love immediately without even noticing.
So, Polaroid became an obsession. Without doc and the crew I'd not been able to take as many pictures, test as many cameras and film and directions. Its a fact. I felt bad for wasting so much film but I was encouraged continuously. Broke and drowning in debt as I was (still am lol) I got supported where ever it was realistical.
The very first day in their office they told me about the soon-to-be-launched polanoid website. I was so excited the night it was going to happen that I kept refreshing and refreshing only to figure they re-loaded the counter ;-P
It was terrible! I couldn't wait!
So on the 12th of October I joined and the lovely community.
In the meantime a few little and less little changes happened in my private life (...) and I wonder if I would have "survived" it if I hadn't had the possibility to capture it in Polaroids. (...)
This is just a try to describe why I am so deeply connected to the medium. It entered my life in one of the most difficult and most confusing, aching situations I have so far lived in my short life. (...) Everything I lived I lived as intensively as Goethe would write his dramas and poems. "Himmelhoch jauchzend zu Tode betrübt".
Until now I have taken uncountable Polaroid pictures, tested uncountable tricks, filters, lenses, accessories, cameras, flashs and films. I know that it is a gift and I am endlessly thankful for every single shot I have been supported and allowed to take in my short Polaroid affair, which happens to have had its anniversary a few days ago.
1 year of Polaroiding for me. Unbelievable.
It feels like ages. It feels like it started just yesterday. It feels like it will be a part of me forever.
(...)
Also, Polaroid FINALLY has led me to film. Super8 film to be precise.Super8 starts becoming a major part of my work.
