NEED HELP!

So I bought some very expired SX-70 film last night on ebay... I emailed some george dude... the guru of SX-70 and he told me that any SX-70 older than a year will have very indesirable results... even if I am going for unpredictable expired effects. He said it would be dried up and brown!

What are your experiences with expired SX-70 film.... I've only used this film when it was a few months past its date.

Is any SX-70 film from the 80s or 90s going to work???

Just picked up some vintage packs of SX-70 film on ebaY... six packs!!! For $20.74!!! And it's that sweet shit with the pretty rainbow stripes!

I recently won an ebaY auction for a Polaroid autoprocessor and it came with one roll of Polablue film.

I was reading up a bit on this film and was rather astonished when I saw that the speed was only 4 or 8! In other words... this film must always be used with either a tripod or copystand and can't be handheld.

Will I have to manually set the speed of the film on my Canon Rebel or will the camera automaticallly set the speed of these films?

Also... what are YOUR experiences with this film? Do you find it easy to work with? The instructions seem a little complicated for me! Working with film that is so damn expensive is intimidating because I don't want to screw things up, but I guess one can only learn by doing.

Also... what FILMS do you prefer? The color, black & white, or high contrast???

AND.. about the EXPIRATION DATES on this film... will the processing packs work if the film was stored properly and the film is dated in the late 80s???

Unsaleable are selling on ebay too, less expensive but still, i'd just bought 200 Time Zero print. (expired in 2007!).

Sold one of my sx-70s on ebaY for over $100!!!

so I did some shopping and bought a Polaroid autoprocessor with one roll of the blue + white slide film and I also got 10 packs of 779 film!

I still have money left in my PayPal account too!!!

What else should I buy????

the last one is a kids store but it has lanterns.. they use the same method.. but the other links are better for the old styles lanps through a bit of a search throgh the sites ..
