Come to my Photo Exhibition!!!
“Glimpses of Everyday Light”
A photography exhibition by Nancy L. Stockdale

I’m having a photography exhibition of twelve of my photos at the Union Gallery of the University of North Texas (Denton, TX) from July 16th until August 9th, 2007. All twelve of the images featured were shot using vintage and/or toy cameras (no polas in this exhibit, but I hope to have a polaroid show soon!), and represent everyday scenes of daily life through the lenses of “people’s cameras.” The photos were taken using my Holga (a people’s camera from 1980s China), my Diana (a people’s camera of 1960s Britain), my Lomo LC-A (one of the most popular cameras of the Soviet Union), my Rolleiflex T1 (a German classic), my Fujipet (the most popular camera of Japan’s postwar “miracle years”), and a plastic 110 keychain camera from an American Kellogg’s Corn Flakes Cereal Box (and its original film, fifteen years expired!). Moreover, these photos represent several cities, including Amsterdam, Jerusalem, Atlanta, Denton, and Orlando, and were created using several film stocks and processing techniques.

If you’re in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area, or just fancy a trip to North Texas, come on by to see the exhibition. For more info, please visit this page: »link
