I used my last ever shot of SX-70 blend yesterday.... on a shot of my flatmates cat. I didn't even think what I was doing, It wasn't until afterwards I realised that was my last shot. I would have like it to have been more of an event, you know friends and loved ones around, music playing a drum roll, chosen a meaningful subject etc. Oh well. I've got a couple of 600 packs I can stuff in my sx-70 but then that''ll be it. It's all very sad.

I got a pinhole polaroid 80 camera and have been playing with it today. It is deeply flawed in some respects...eg that it is cheaply made and I had to reglue bits of it to prevent light leakage and that the 'shutter' system is so stiff that it moves the whole camera thus blurring your image (so I used a finger over the pinhole as a shutter.)
That said I think it has great potential. I've posted a few images, go have a look see!

Hmmm...I think I agree that unsaleable should have limited the amount each customer could buy of the sx-70 film, I mean they would have still sold it all in about an hour but at least it would of been fairer. I imagine some Bond villian type got there first bought up the whole lot and is now selling it back to us at three times the price laughing and stroking a white cat.
I also object to the way they told us....an email! They should have sent a policeman round to each of our houses to break such bad news.

I'm quite literally very depressed by today. Checked my emails first thing this morning and was suprised to find the unsaleable message saying there was only 500 packs of Blend film left, naturally in a head spinning mix of panic and sadness I went to unsaleable right away to buy some to find it all gone (was less suprised by that). So I've sat numb ever since...is that it? I guess I could jam 600 film into my sx-70 orifice but they are going to kill that too. I never realised how much pleasure in my life came from taking polaroids....I'm a broken man. How's everyone else holding up? Perhaps we need a group hug?

Has any one else used the black and white 87 film much? I'd be interested to see their results. I just used it with my instant 20 and found it brilliant and shot off the whole film in about 40 mins (which is unheard of as I don't have much money). It is ISO 1000 so works with really tiny amounts of lighting. I've only up loaded a couple of my shots so far but when I get time I'll put the rest up. I'm very happy with this film!

In less than a week the polaroid heroes that are QundL will be reunited with Jonnof and myself, so I image a polaroid frenzy will take place for a few days and all of us will be posting new stuff.

Incase anyone wonders why I seem to be a little taken by bathroom mirrors, it's because I'm sort of doing a project. A different bathroom mirror in ever different city or town I visit. I'm not really sure why, but I think it is something that involves a few factors such as the fact I like bathrooms, they are my favourite room in a home, I feel the safest in them. Also they are one place I'm likely to visit in each place I go and I like the idea of going to different places and taking a photo of the bathroom mirror because it doesn't show the town or city at all.
The rules I have sort of set for myself are:
1. To take two photos of each bathroom in it's mirror
2.Only one bathroom per city or town

actually I think that is about it.

So...yeah. Just got back from Manchester, so there are a few polaroids from that if you want to have a look? No pressure. I'll go away and if you want to look you can, if not no sweat.

Thank you everyone who voted and said nice things. I finally made shot of the day! I'll try not let it go to my head and change me! I am very proud and happy though...how ever silly and small a thing it is!

My chocolate instant 20 photo of my brother looking out the bathroom window has got the most votes in the shortest period of time yet....make him shot of the day! I've never had one and boy now that it is close enough to taste...I want it bad! The power! The fame! The 10 euro voucher!
