Valerie Ardini - artist, photographer
I started photographing when I was 17.
I studied media art at the academy of fine arts in Enschede, the Netherlands. I worked mostly with video at the academy but quickly returned to my old passion, photography, after I graduated in 2006. I got back into analog photography a while ago and am now kicking myself for throwing out all of my darkroom equipment.. :) I hardly use my dslr at the moment except for commissioned work of course..
I work as a freelance photographer and I focus on architectural photography, interior photography and product photography.
Also, I take lots of photos with my iPhone- I have done a 365 project with it (with the 3G - one photo a day, for one year)
I am collecting and using a lot of analog cameras; several polaroid cameras (sx-70's, slr680, supercolor 1000, 320 Land Camera), a Mamiya C33 (tlr), Yashica Electro 35, Kodak Brownie No. 2 (from the twenties), Lomo LC-A
The collection holds more- these are just the ones I use on a regular basis.
