The big sleep
With snow up to my knees, and -14 temperatures, the wind forced me down into the drift. It was peaceful there and the silence came. The whistling stopped. I lay down and came up again, looking, clean, white and crisp. Somehow I felt rejuvenated. My skin responded with a purplish hue, and I knew I was alive though I had forgotten the way.
