Bettie and Bunny
I decided to dress up as celebrated fifties pin-up Bettie Page - a girl who sort of created her own niche in the pin-up market, never really fitting in with the then-popular dopey innocent or passive baby-blonde image of many pin-ups. To me, she always seems to project a fun-loving, vibrant personality and a great sense of liberation into all her pictures (somehow, even on the ones where she was trussed up from head to foot).

This shot co-stars Ullo as photographer Bunny Yeager and a couple of plastic budgies as the cheetahs.

Tip:
We actually posed for this in my kitchen. I cut us out of the Polaroid and propped us up next to the plastic budgies on some fake grass and in front of a railway set bush. The shot I picked looks like a tinted black and white shot, so I finally hand-coloured the Polaroid with marker pens to make the colours more unreal.
