Woodbrook- a wealthy part of Port of Spain still has corners of dereliction. In an otherwise stark and ugly place, these gingerbread houses and shacks stand out. Despite land prices sky rocketing, you can still find hundreds of properties in this shape...it feels somehow artificial- more like a Carriacou version of the Caribbean, not the harsh Port of Spain gunslinging reality....
