Jewels
It seems like I am more feminist than I thought or than I like to admit.
I don't know why, but I decided to leave a bit of room for "feminism" in my "forgotten women" series.

the red series is about women who ask for recognition to those men who still claim to be better. the worst part of the problem is that those men are often husbands, fathers, sons, brothers that are supposed to know the strenght, personality, intelligence and efforts of the women of their family, but they are completely blind.

No gender is better than the other, our genitalia aren't meant to influence the judgement on who's worthy and who isn't, they are meant to let us be one.

I digitally removed some flaws and glue stains that in the originals are almost invisible but, scanned, jump on the beholder's face.

Tip:
I took a polaroid of a 1962 magazine that belonged to my grandmother and another polaroid of a red sheet of paper.
I painted the first one with black ink.
after a few days, I cut, scratched and washed the red polaroid, gluing it on the other. i cut letters from a book and put them on the widest border.
