An Orlando Story
I was standing in line at my favorite place to get a hot dog or burger in Orlando (Between the Buns on Colonial), and this couple were ahead of me in line. As they were standing there, man's hand thrust into woman's pants (that gesture always reminds me of awkward 1970s teens), they were telling Johnnie (the guy who runs the place) something about their child dying and how they go to the cemetery each day to eat their hotdogs and fries at the child's grave. It was surreal, and the sarcastic message on the tip jar next to them really stood out to me in that context.
