I stayed in this wonderful retro motel on the old Route 66 in Tucumcari, New Mexico, and I highly recommend it! I also love the sign, especially with my penchant for deconstructing Orientalist tropes! ;)

Motel Safari has been recently renovated; it's clean and a whistle and has super comfy bed, free wifi, and great flat screen tvs/ipod docking alarm clocks, etc...but also all the oldschool late 50s/early 60s furniture! It's a great place if you want a nice Route 66 motel experience.
