Peaceful Passing
While walking Suttree, the grounds crew were pruning our little trees (I say little because in the desert, there aren't many big, normal trees). Two small branches were down next to us and I saw the tiniest bird skeleton, with it's wings still intact. Before the grounds crew workers could crush the fragile remains, I picked it up with a doggy bag and brought it inside. I set up lights and took photos of it with the three films.

I can't get over how this bird died in a tree and didn't fall. It got nestled in some branch and decayed there. I guess I just never think about birds having a chance to die in their home.
