Please Find Me - 10
Shot 10 and this one also looks composed. Another favourite (perhaps because the infernal blue buckets of death have now been safely tidied away.)
The bus seems to be in the same place as in the other shots but at a different time of day - the next morning, judging by the light. Again, there is the sign in the bus window saying "Please find me". Again, this makes me wonder if the shots were deliberately planned and planted ("Please find these pictures" or possibly "Please find this bus"). It all seems too neat otherwise. Or is it a reference to the hitchhiker chunks he has buried in the woods? Is the sign meant as a serial-killer-style taunt to the police? "Find the bodies if you can - catch me if you're so clever.")
Or... was the message put there by someone who was being imprisoned in the bus? A cry for help to passers-by, which the captors left there, knowing that nobody was going to be there to see it anyway?
The car number on this shot has been made illegible by pressure on the Polaroid - with a ballpoint pen or something. What I don't understand here is, if the makers wished to remain untraceable, why leave the pictures in the very same camper van that is shown in the pictures? As far as I know, the number plate was still on the bus in the shed. So what was the point of blanking it out?
Aaaaarrrrrgh!
