The Sea is full of Wonders -1
We were walking by the fantastic winter sea when we saw this man. It was a grey, cold, cosy day. My girlfriend and I were in Riccione, 2nd of January perhaps.
He was standing some five meters from the shore, walking in the sea immersed till the knee or slightly above, wearing a kind of waterproof trousers.
He was holding two sticks in his hands.
He turned and saw us.
He smiled at us, started to scream something (which we could not hear because of the lovely noise of the sea) and he run towards us with happiness in his eyes.
He started to speak: "Look look what I have just found! A golden necklace! You know, I spend lots of hours here, same for my brothers, but we sort of like it, it is relaxing, wearing the right cloths I can stay here for four-five hours. And sometimes I may get some reward, like now: a golden necklace. Today I have been even luckier because the weather has been quite bad lately, the sea has moved the sand and lots of new things have come up".
He was holding some kind of digger with a net at its bottom and a metal detector, with which he looked for lost treasures in the sea.
We wished him good luck. He went back to his quest. I took my picture, and when we were about to leave he turned again and screamed "Again, again, again, a silver ring!".
It was a great meeting.
So happy I had with me my SLR loaded with 600 monochrome.
