re-photography: Not re-creating and photographing the scene of a famous photo, but photographing an actual photograph. Since I usually shoot digital, this most often means photographing an image as it is displayed on my computer screen.
I originally used this technique to make cellphone photos usable for posters, but I've found it useful as a processing tool, since it can produce interesting textures and subtle changes in perceived lighting—and just make digital images feel less digital.
