The Methodist Church Of Bodie, CA, Unite
Bodie is a ghost town in the Bodie Hills east of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Mono County, California, United State of America.
The get-rich quick, single miners who originally came to the town in the 1870s moved on to these other booms, which eventually turned Bodie into a family-oriented community. The Methodist Church that was both constructed in 1882 is an example of this.
The mines started closing in the 1910's and was first labelled a ghost town in 1915. By 1920 there were less than 200 people living there and when the last mine closed in 1942, it sealed the fate of the community forever. Bodie is now an authentic Wild West ghost town.
