From the uneasiness conveyed by graffiti, the melancholy of mannequins and the playfulness of an actress, three visual journeys unfold, expressively amplified by the seriality of the photographic sequences. What stories are hidden behind the symbolic representation of fantastical characters? Or in the lifelike eyes and faces of impossible women? Or, finally, in the cinematographic sequences of romantic passionate scenes? Despite belonging to different times and places, the three situations – testimonials of different worlds, eras and impressions – complete each other, bound by the uncertain balance between fiction and reality, appearance and essence, with extreme facets spanning from the urban restlessness of street art to the glamour of Hollywood. Eyes painted, modelled or photographed which, in their surreal stillness, stare, question, reveal... But then, are they really eyes without a soul ?
