Welcome to hell
The paradox is that the skills which you need to know if you're good at something, are exactly the same skills that you need to actually be good at that.
Therefore, there is absolutely no way to objectively know if you are good, bad, or even worse, mediocre at what you do.
I know, i know, you can also suck at something you hate, so you might as well just do what you love, no matter what. And you should stay an amateur, in the best sense of the word. Love what you do and just do it. Not for the money, nor for the recognition, just for the sake of it.
But i believe photography should be communication, so if you don't show what you're doing, it's pointless, it's masturbation.
So here we are, in a hell of insecurity. Getting out there, exposing your inner guts, and exposing yourself to the scariest fear of alls, failure. What if it's irrelevant? What will i do if it's mediocre? How can i actually know?
