This is a photo of my father, mother, and two older brothers taking a photo for U.S. Sponsor Eligibility on March 28, 1981. This photo was taken in Thailand at a refugee camp. I didn't take this photo, but I found it and restored it and felt like it deserved to be displayed because my family barely survived the Khmer Rouge Genocide in Cambodia during the 70's. I wasn't even born until two years after this photo was taken, and I'm amazed every time I look at this photo because it represents freedom, liberty, and eventually, the complete fruition of an American dream.
