who will remember me when i'm dead?
I was driving on a small country road, coming back from one of my numerous hunting for Polaroid films when I saw this strange little monument right in the middle of a field, a few hundreds meters from the road. I stooped by, and took one of the cameras I just got from a local dealer (a 600 extreme, not the better one, but as I just had some 600 film, I had no other choice except with an izone, so...)
I walked through the field and read : it was raised to the memory of a pilot who died here in a plane crash some 20 years ago. He was obviously drinving a vintage bi-plane, as the sculpture on the top of the monument indicates.
I prefered to shoot from far in the distance, for I felt pityful for this monument that no one probably visits, lost in the middle of nowhere, commemorating a tragedy that no one has heard about, and that disappears 6 months a year once the corn has grown.
