Okay, this is definitely weird..
I used different scanner software today (since the scanner is now connected to another, more modern [thank God] computer) and it seems the auto dust removal feature killed the flash reflections in everyone's eyes.
This REALLY bothers me. /:
(So yeah, I guess I'll scan them again sometime soon[ish] and have them replaced..)
