Large starfish from Grand Anse
I used to find these in tortuga all the time- massive starfish. I used to dive down 20 ft from the boat, pick these up and write my name in stars, literally.
i even dried one once...it sat on the bulkhead by my bunk- took about 3 months to stop smelling of fish!
I haven't seen one in years and spied this in the shallows by the fishing boats by the St George's end of Grand Anse. I dragged it out and took this on the beach before throwing it back- and here it is....another memory of the childhood in the tropics, this time on polaroid, just as it should be...
