Silver Shade on left, Polaroid 803 on ri
OK, here’s a comparison using the same subject and lighting conditions. That’s the Impossible Project’s 8x10 Silver Shade on the left and Polaroid 803 (expired 2005) on the right. I am not sure what the flaring is on the left image or the dark swatch on the left side of the right image.
I think the new film does pretty well, eh? The one thing this does illustrate is the big difference: the new integral film on the left produces a reflection of your subject, while the older Polaroid has a traditional image, owing to having positive and negative sides of film.

Please let me know your suspicions and theories on the odd faults of each of these images. I suspect it’s the film itself, since it’s not consistent.
