The Divine (#1)
An attempt at divination through photography. An approach at using photography as the receptive medium it is. Taking a photograph of a symbol of the future. This fits perfectly with Polaroid type 55, the act of unveiling an image... Unfortunately I will not be able to explore this any further due to the fact that the film is no longer in production.

Silver has been known in cultures around the world as a RECEPTIVE material. It has been associated with the moon in by Mayans, Norse cultures and Alchemists. Silver has been associated with the goddesses Artemis and Diana. Silver means feminine. It means night. It is receptive and reflective.
Digital photography lacks silver. Digital photography lacks the tangible interaction between the artist and their materials.
Traditional photography is suited for a variety of exercises because of these things.
This photograph is part of my attempt at utilizing the magic that is inherent in the photographic process.
