Olivia: The CloseClose Up
Olivia was part of my great weekend, just ended.

After breakfast Sunday, I brought Drew and Bryan; to her house, she wanted photos of her new hairstyle, I wanted photos, and something to do w/my new friends other than just eat French toast and take pictures of each other.

The last time I'd shot Olivia, it had been less than entirely comfortable, as is often the case the first time I shoot someone. They don't know what I want, how I work, the line of communication is rough around the edges.

This time, as usual, was smoother than silk, and she was fazed not at all by the fact that there were three people(two of them complete strangers) photographing her all at the same time.

Sure, for half a second it felt strange to have the three of us just taking photos of her for no particular reason other than our addiction to taking photos, trying to keep her comfortable, trying to make them all comfortable. But soon enough I stopped thinking about that, started thinking about the shots, and then it was laughing and shooting and more laughing and more shooting and everybody giving direction and Olivia down on her knees...I mean, you know, for the shot.

Such a good time was had, in fact, that after I left, the party kept on rollin'.
