My Mother Tending Bar, 1959
This is a roll Polaroid of my mother tending bar in 1959. She tells me that this bar was attached to a motel that my parents were living in while my father was doing a construction job long-term. She said there was some dumb law that, as a woman, she was not allowed to pour hard liquor if a man ordered it--she had to hand him the bottle and shot and supervise!!!!
I'm not sure of the camera or film type, but it is clearly marked "Polaroid" on the back.
My mother says this was in Tracy, California.
