Tomás was one of my best friend for a long time, since we met as teenagers till I get to university, then our relation started blinking until distance and lifestyle broke it. This year we start seeing each other again. In many senses he was my guide trough teen pass rites, finally he couldn’t stay in school and our lives took different routs. I finished university, traveled a lot (I still do it whenever I can), grow up (and still doing it), became teacher, get married 3 years ago… and so on, and I think I had and have a good life… unfortunately his life went wrong at some point.
A few years ago (I’m not sure how many) he suffered a crisis and was diagnosed as depressive psychotic. I don’t know what happened or when or why… the only thing I know is that he daily uses antipsychotic and antidepressive pills and he’s afraid of hearing voices again if he stoops taking pills. But he needs something more… I can’t see him moving forward… I guess he’ll never reach his dream: become a pilot.
Some days I feel I have some kind of responsibility with him, but I still don´t know how to help him.
