Gas Masks
Polaroid transfer diptych.

Slides came from images out of an anatomy book from the 1930s. Gas Masks were a big deal back then... the book had tons of images of people wearing these things.

Tip:
Polaroid transfer onto cream-colored printmaking paper. The paper was first soaked in distilled white vinegar. After the transfer the image was soaked again in vinegar [this brightens the image and pops the colors]. The transfer was then rinsed in cool, running tap water.
