original stage, Midnite Jamboree
the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree is a radio show that started in 1947, broadcasting from the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. audiences crowded into the store to see the show, which was free to all. The show is still broadcast every saturday night, immediately following the famous Grand Ole Opry on WSM 650 AM, but now from the Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadour Theatre.
