How to follow up on the surprise 'motel' series? By posting this pic of a big ol' catfish. This odd beast has been resting, impaled upon pole, for some decades on an outdated highway some twenty km west of beautiful Chico, California. As it's doubtful that catfishing (note the whiskers) is big 'round those parts, I have never been able to comprehend the significance of this metal hulk. Nontheless, it reminds me strongly of my old home. As such, I pulled over and finally snapped it.
This, along with the movie theater/Ukiah/Haiku shot, comprise something of an ode to the true blue sky shooters at Polanoid.
