As far as I remember, Gerard was around.
I start playing soccer when I was seven years old (thirty-seven years ago) and Gerard was always there, supporting the teams of our local football club.
Now my both suns are playing and Gerard is still there.
He used to take a penalty on the goal of the visiting club every halftime, so we scored one goal at least.
He doesn't take his penalties any more, Gerard will have his seventy-seven birthday this month.
Nevertheless, he's still the most devoted supporter I know.
He's a verry nice guy, all the people in the club love him.
These pictures where taken when my oldest son (Daan) had to play a real derby against a club from nearby.
Always a tuff game.
This time we won with a nice score 9-1.
