... have been friends since high school. we made up a fake band our senior year and i played guitar while she sang in the hallways between classes. i'd have my open guitar case in front of us and we'd hit every passer-by up for their change. then we'd buy burritos. we came up with the band name "My Dyzplaced Uteruz" and recruited 2 other friends to play bass and drums. it was pretty ridiculous. we were basically all talk - none of us really played all that well. we 'crashed' our senior christmas ball and set up a rented sound system in the parking lot outside of the gym. i think we might have played this song christine wrote called "codeine". yea. then the dean kicked us off campus. 30 minutes later, we snuck into the gym and served the virgin strawberry daiquiries. we made t-shirts with MY DYZPLACED UTERUZ spraypainted on the front in pink and a drawing of a uterus with a fetus inside would be on the back and the fetuses would be dressed like clowns or saying things like "rock!" or "i <3 my calculus" [i dont remember]. we were on the dean's shit list from then til graduation. i got away with pink hair until MDU happened. oh well. i always tell these stories and no one ever believes me at first. but it's true. we were in the yearbook.
