no glue
If you visit the Tsutenkaku tower in downtown Osaka, while you're waiting in the queue to get in the lift that takes you to the top, you are presented with a little leaflet with fascinating tower facts (how high this tower is, how high various other towers are, how high the average tower is, the difference between a "building" and a "tower" etc etc). It really makes the two hours fly. Anyway, on the back they have this cut out and build it yourself model of the tower. Probably for kids or something. Bored, I attempted it at home. 3 hours later, covered in paper cuts, having gone through a nervous breakdown and some extreme existential angst, and having destroyed what small amount of furniture I had in the flat through uncontrollable fits of rage, the first one was complete. I decided to tackle the other two as some form of sadistic penitence for all the crimes I’ve committed in my life. I didn't use glue. On the towers.
