the cantor center at stanford university
this place is cool because they let you take pictures of most of the art work inside. they're known for the big collection of rodin pieces. we went on valentines day for the opening of the new avedon exhibit. i hear its the last exhibit of avedon's work. if anyone has a chance to see it, i highly recommend it; its amazing. i was actually pretty moved by the photographs. really. oh yea, and it's always free to get in. sweet deal.

they have several galleries that are part of their permanent collection dedicated to early art, organized by the country of origin.

heres a statue... man i really wish i wrote down the info on these pieces because i cant even, for the life, of me, remember what this was made of. oh well. i quickly wandered through the permanent collection galleries to snap as many photos as i could of "holy" things for my contributer-based publication project aholymess.org. i had to go fast because there was some sort of event going on that required closing the museum - something to do with the avedon exhibit opening. man i hate getting crap from museum security guards. they're always total douchebags about it. its true.
