So this gem was part of a series that I did for my photography class on crime scene photography. I was given access to this area because my friend's father was a former crime scene photographer for LAPD. He still has some friends working there so I was able to have full access to the entire downtown police station.
Incidentally I have this obsession with Charles Manson and to my suprise who do I see tacked up to the wall outside this booking room? That's righ folks... a genuine photo of Charles Manson in this EXACT SAME CHAIR. It's bolted to the ground and hasn't been replaced once in the entire existence of the station's history. It has also seen the likes of OJ Simpson and many others.
