I usually avoid drinking on drinking holidays--May fifth, St. Patty's, Superbowl Sunday--and, to be honest, I avoid the trappings of almost all holidays, but Kasie got this "green food" idea and that became... Pesto Day. The first two batches were traditional, and very good. Later, we tried arugula (bitter but acceptable) and eventually made the mistake of trying a sage pesto.

I don't recommend the sage pesto.
