part of the series: 'POST BLUE'

since 5 months i am working on a ward for children suffering from cancer. some weeks ago i started thinking of a polaroid-series about these kids. my intention was to find a way to picture the interaction between disease and patients. i finally came up with the idea to make it a bit more abstract and i shot workaday, medical materials and manipulated them in some kind of aggresive and destructive way like cracking, heating, boiling, etc.
the series now consists of 6 plrds, each shot stands for one of the six most common cancers in childhood.
