We've Joined The 21st Century!
For those of you who have grown up with and always had cable or dish television, this may seem rather odd to you. We have only viewed television by way of an antenna for the entire 16 years that we have lived here in California, Missouri. It's like this: 17 years ago I sat in my living room on a Friday night trying to find something suitable to watch on t.v. and gave up in frustration because there was nothing but junk being programmed on cable at the time. So, I looked at my wife and said, "Wife! Why am I paying money to watch nothing?" To which my wife replied, "I don't know, dear." She knew when I asked the question that I had already made up my mind to dispose of the wretched beast. When we moved here a year later we realized that we could get all three of the major US networks, Public Television and a religious station with just our antenna. We were satisfied. Life was good. And then, network television went down the tubes in terms of quality programming, our vcr's were giving us fits and the solution seemed to be a digital video recorder and a dish to pull in channels like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, HGTV, etc. So, there you are. A large dish to pull in the channels we could never get and the small dish to pull in the local channels.

End of story.
