I have watched the shadows fall, over and over. The sun set outside my room. The dying rays of light closing the world again.
Another day has passed beyond my reach; another long list of possibilities has passed by, before I had even considered them. As the light dies, so does the promise.
I look out onto the fading vibrance of old light. My garden lies fallow, its borders overthrown by grass.
