Walking through the forests around Marangu, a small village of northern Tanzania a call from a child stopped our passage “Jambo – Jambo” a greeting in KiSwihili. She held our hands and started walking along side us. We it came time to part ways we took this picture of her and when it came out she was confused – looking at the white Polaroid, not knowing what it was or what to expect. A few moments later the image started to reveal and the excitement rose – followed by calls for everyone around to come and look. We left her the Polaroid and continued on our trek into the banana forests.
