crawfish
i had a great day today. i walked down to the creek were we live and read for a few hours. it got pretty hot so i took my shoes off and walked through the creek. the water was cold but after a while it felt so good. i saw very small fish swimming against the current. i tried for at least thirty minutes to catch one in a vitamin water bottle so i could get a better look, but had no luck. the water was so clear and so cool. full of life that is completely unnoticed if not scanned repeatedly for the slightest movements. then something caught my eye. slowly moving from under rock to rock, i made it a definite decision to catch the little fella. i watch its every move, slowly dip the bottle in the water releasing all air making it easier to maneuver underwater, and in an instant i caught myself a crawfish. over all a pretty enjoyable day.
