At the Place de la Concorde in Paris. The obelisk in the background was expertly stolen about 150 years ago. The details of it's removal and reinstallation are carved on plaques placed near its base. Incredible work, really. Though, I can't see why these obelisks aren't returned to Egypt. . .there are some in Istanbul, some in Paris....they're everywhere but Egypt. This place is amazing. Mind blowing. Marie Antoinette lost her head over it...quite literally...more or less at the base of that obelisk.
P.S. I got a whole lotta yellow out of this pack of film. You can see it here. Could be first signs of inconsistency in the final production runs of Polaroid film. It's not 'expired film' tinge, it's a real vibrant color thing. The blues, too....almost cartoonish...I'm amazed, actually, at the colors in this pack. If you're used to Pola colors like I am, you'll know what I mean.
