Since the start of the houseing boom in the United States the Motels and small shops of Clearwater Beach, Florida have been demolished to make way for highrise condo's. It is my belief that this trend is being caused by increaseingly high property taxes pushing these small businesses to sell earlier then they normally would . Regardless of the cause the end result is a permanent change in the landscape of Clearwater Beach. The following are Motels and shops that either are already slated to be leveled to make way for condos or will certainly be sold in the near future for that purpose.
