the manual 100 camera

here's my first attempt (and success) in upgrading a 100 camera. Using a 127mm Yashica-yashinon lens to replace the 114mm original lens of the 100, I found out that the distance to the film remains the same due to the size of the new lens and the fact that the lens is now in front of the camera and not inside anymore : the viewfinder and focus system, in these conditions, remains accurate. It's about 3 or 4 hours work, and far less expensive than a 180.

Tip:

My father taught me never to get rid of anything that could be used later on, even if it seems to be in a long while. When he died, I found an incredible amount of almost everything in his attic.
I guess I do the same with polaroid cameras. I keep parts of almost every camera I can't use and try to make them have a second life. Just an amateur, no professional tools... weird results, most of the time. But I have a jolly good time trying and, sometimes, succeeding.
