Lots of stray animals seem to wander Bucharest's streets. This poor one was in the alley behind where we were staying... my morbid fascination led me to take a picture, then when I got up close, the cat looked to be grinning and was surrounded with pizza crusts (see next to the paw on the left) and empty vodka bottles. I suppose even cats have to do something to fend off the Romanian cold, but this one clearly got so catalytic (see what I did there) it froze to death- froze with a cheshire cat grin (see what I did there again!) on its whiskered face.
