Were Wasting Away You Know
I am so going back here. It was this abandoned warehouse, which there is an abundance of here in downtown KC. At first it seemed rather bleak. I walk in to a great opening full of junk and dumpsters. To my left is where the "front offices" would be. I find a pile of books, photos, papers, toy models, and a motorcycle! I even found polaroids!(you can see those in my stream) I found a Shalom thing, a close encounters of the third kind book, some comics and a magazine from 1979. There was also alot of cards to a son from a dad. Guess the kid spent many of his days here at the office as there were tons of toy models and comics. After falling through a floor and examing the "offices" i find nothing else really that cool. Then I find a hidden door. In it is a bunch of shelves. Nothing in them sadly but old tools. Then I find a secret attic. I climb up it. Find this sweet little place. Has an awesome shelving(for cameras!). There is a hole that fell through to the first floor and a huge hole from the celling. I also found a old ragged sleeping bag and pillow with some beer bottles and pills! Awesome. I didn't take my graflex to the attic but did take my pentax, will develop and print those soon!
