on the left some frames with my tiny polaroids, on the right a big print i still had from the exhibition last year (this one: »link in my mind, i titled it 'oh latvija.. where art thou?'. but i didn't wrote it.) - but more important, in the middle a map of latvija which karin drawed on simple paper. every visitor was asked to attach a post-it with his name on the place he was born, grew up, or however is attached to (i did not choose riga btw. i've put mine on pedvale »link ).
btw, the man with the beard still carries the name baron. and though we all (friends and family) had our little schedules for the evening, he has been at the door most of the time.
what you cant see in the lower right, is an old portable wind-up phonograph »link he brought with for the evening. most lovely. his son was winding it up and the sound of the old records filled the air.
(now i just have to find out if there ever was somebody who made one for modern 33rpm records :)
